Renegade Studio
Renegade Studio builds digital products from real-world frustration, practical experience and the belief that useful things should feel simpler.
The work spans education, sport, wellbeing and lifestyle, but the thread is always the same: understand the problem properly, remove unnecessary friction and keep working until the solution genuinely helps.
There has to be a better way.
Most Renegade Studio projects began with that thought.
Not in a boardroom. Not through a brief.
They began in classrooms, coaching sessions, community clubs, small organisations and everyday systems that felt harder than they needed to be.
One question became a sketch. A sketch became a screen. A screen became a working product.
Then came the audits, rewrites, rebuilds, mistakes, better questions and constant refinement.
Renegade Studio grew one problem, one decision and one working solution at a time.
Built through effort, not shortcuts.
The past year has involved hundreds of hours spent learning, building, testing and improving.
Features have been reworked when they were not clear enough.
Designs have changed when they did not feel right.
Products have been simplified, expanded, questioned and rebuilt.
Ideas have been parked when the timing was wrong and revisited when the product was ready.
That process has shaped how Renegade Studio works:
- listen carefully
- understand the real problem
- build honestly
- test what works
- improve what does not
- keep going until the result feels right
The same care, applied to your project.
The effort invested in our own products is the standard we would bring to work created for someone else.
That means asking difficult questions before rushing into design.
It means understanding the people who will actually use the product.
It means being honest when an idea needs changed.
It means reviewing the details, testing the experience and staying with the work beyond the first version.
We are not interested in producing something that only looks finished.
We want to build something useful, clear and built to last.
Understanding before building.
The work does not start with technology.
It starts with people, context and the problem worth solving.
Ideas are researched, discussed, sketched and tested before they become working products.
The aim is not to add more features or complexity.
The aim is to make the useful parts clearer.
Different projects. Shared principles.
LessonNest, VolleyCore, Golf Coaching, Athletic Brand and the wider portfolio serve different people, but they are connected by the same beliefs.
The sector may change. The standard does not.
- Clarity over complexity
- Evidence before assumption
- Trust through thoughtful design
- Practical usefulness
- Continuous improvement
Graeme Henry
Renegade Studio is led by Graeme Henry, a teacher, coach, club builder and product creator based in Scotland.
The work is shaped by practical experience rather than distance from the problem.
Education products grow from classroom reality.
Sport products grow from coaching, competition and club experience.
Websites and service platforms begin with the needs of the people expected to use them.
There was no traditional route into product development.
The Studio was built through curiosity, persistence and learning by doing.
Every project has involved asking questions, solving problems and becoming better through the work itself.
Not an agency assembly line.
Renegade Studio is not about chasing briefs, copying trends or producing digital work for the sake of it.
It is a working studio for shaping ideas carefully and turning them into useful products.
Sometimes that means moving quickly.
Sometimes it means stepping back.
Sometimes it means rebuilding something that was nearly right.
The goal is always the same:
- make it clearer
- make it more useful
- make it work better
